A Jawa existed on the desert planet of Tatooine around 32 BBY. When the Sith Lord Darth Maul touched down on Tatooine with his ship, this Jawa managed to ensnare one of Maul's tracker droids using a net. While ensnared, the tracker droid pulled the Jawa along, and the pair were observed during the confrontation between Darth Maul and Qui-Gon Jinn. Sometime later, when Queen Amidala's Royal Starship departed from Tatooine, heading back to her home world of Naboo, the Jawa found itself clinging to the outside of the vessel. Still clutching the tracker droid in its net, the Jawa collided with Darth Maul inside the Theed Plasma Refinery Complex, causing Maul to fall into the shaft and ultimately saving Obi-Wan Kenobi. Subsequently, the Jawa was seen being dragged around during the celebrations that took place in Theed. Ten years later, the Jawa was pulled along to Geonosis and went past Jango Fett's spaceship. The Jawa then bumped into Jango Fett, and pulled him away from the Petranaki arena.
This particular Jawa makes an appearance in the young-readers books from 2012, specifically LEGO Star Wars: Darth Maul's Mission and LEGO Star Wars: Anakin to the Rescue. These books are humorous re-imaginings of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, and they utilize LEGO figures.
