A star that burned orange in color and had a volatile surface was situated in the Mid Rim. Rendezvous Point Delta-Three, a location used as a rendezvous by the Rebel Alliance, was located in close proximity to the star.
In 3 ABY, following the Battle of Hoth, the Alliance Fleet split into numerous divisions to evade the Galactic Empire. The Fourth Division grouped at Rendezvous Point Delta-Three, where they made contact with the Eighth Division. Commander Ellian Zahra of the Empire used a signal analysis protocol to locate both divisions, splitting her forces to attack them both. Utilizing a tactic she had previously devised, Zahra blockaded the starships of the Fourth Division against the star with a turbolaser cordon, preventing the rebels' escape. The intervention of the rebel freighter Millennium Falcon allowed the Fourth Division to escape the blockade and meet at another rendezvous point.
