A male captain served the New Republic during the Galactic Civil War against the Galactic Empire. He commanded the former Imperial Star Destroyer Deliverance, flagship of General Hera Syndulla. During Syndulla's hunt for the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, the Deliverance was attacked by sabotage droids left by the 204th, and the captain was killed as a result. His executive officer, Commander Nisteen Arvad, was promoted to the role of captain of the Deliverance after his death.

In 5 ABY, as the Deliverance pursued the 204th Imperial Fighter Wing, the Star Destroyer was attacked by sabotage droids that had been left by the 204th as a result of the fighter wing's Lieutenant Palal Seedia having infiltrated the New Republic crew. The captain became injured at the bottom of a turbolift shaft, and with Arvad missing, the Deliverances bridge was left without command. Syndulla, receiving no response upon contacting the bridge, hoped that the captain was merely at his station and out of contact; the general's aide, Stornvein, eventually reached the bridge and took charge. The captain died as a result of the attack, and Commander Arvad was subsequently promoted to fill his position.
Later that year, during the Battle of Jakku, Seedia revealed her actions to the New Republic pilot Wyl Lark, taking credit for the deaths that the attack had caused. Lark recalled that the captain had been one of only two who were killed in the attack.
The captain was mentioned in the 2021 novel Victory's Price, written by Alexander Freed.
