A Sentinel droid served as pilot to a replica of the Imperialis during the yacht's voyage from the planet Jakku to the Unknown Regions to recreate the Galactic Empire in accordance with the late Emperor Palpatine's Contingency Plan, carrying aboard it Grand Admiral Rae Sloane, the Hux family and a group of child soldiers previously trained by Gallius Rax.
Stationed aboard a functioning replica of the Cosinga-class Heavy Corvette luxury pleasure craft, the Imperialis, this droid was to serve as the ship's pilot if the time came to put into action the posthumous Contingency Plan of Sheev Palpatine, Emperor of the Galactic Empire and secret Dark Lord of the Sith, which involved a select collection of "worthy" Imperials assembled over time by the Emperor and his protégé Gallius Rax fleeing the galaxy to instead rendezvous with those sent before them at the far edges of known space with the aim of rebuilding the Empire from scratch. Though the role of leader would have originally fallen to Rax, his demise at the Battle of Jakku saw him succeeded by his former subordinate and killer, Grand Admiral Rae Sloane, who then from Jakku on the Imperialis, accompanied by the former Commandant Brendol Hux, his illegitimate son Armitage and a collection of native orphans that Rax had trained prior to his death to be the next generation of Imperial soldiers. Shortly after they departed the planet, this Sentinel droid was confronted by Sloane, who questioned it over the dozens of path coordinates that had been transmitted. Informing the Admiral of the nature of the broadcasted relays, which it revealed had been sent to individuals considered by Palpatine to be loyal to his name and memory, Sloane then inquired about the Sentinel's own allegiance, asking if it served the dead Emperor. In response, the droid declared that all Sentinel and messengers were programmed to act in accordance with Palpatine's wishes, even after his demise.
Months later, the Imperialis finally reached its destination and the Sentinel droid stood alongside Sloane and Hux as the Eclipse came into view and was pointed out by the Commandant. Ordered by Rae Sloane to send their ship on a course to join those who's footsteps they had followed, the Sentinel obeyed as the Grand Admiral declared it time for the building a new Empire was to begin.
Rae Sloane accompanied the droid when the Imperialis fled to the Unknown Regions.
