The Imperial floating gunnery platform could carry six stormtroopers.
The platform was in use during the Galactic Civil War. At least two such craft were deployed to the Battle of Hoth, where they were assigned to a flanking maneuver against Perimeter Outpost Delta. One was destroyed by Rebel Alliance fire, while the other one was able to deploy its complement of snowtroopers. It then retreated back toward the main line after the outpost fell.
