The pirate leader was a pirate commander of the pirates situated on the frozen planet of Ilum during the Galactic Civil War. He supplied the Rebel Alliance military detachments under former Galactic Empire Moff Kalast with weapons. After finding pirates codes on Rebel blasters during the Battle of Thyferra, Darth Vader hired Boba Fett to track down the leader over Ilum. During the Battle in the Ilum system, the engines of the leader's Pirate interceptor frigate were destroyed, allowing capture by Boba Fett and the Imperial Navy.
