An ancient tome was kept by the Elders, a tribe of Rakata, and the One, the leader of the rival Black Rakata tribe, asked the Sith Lord Revan to steal it. In exchange for the theft, the One would let Revan and his apprentice Darth Malak into the Temple of the Ancients, but Revan betrayed the One and allied himself with the Elders.
