The University of Commenor was a university on the planet Commenor. In the last days of the Separatist Crisis, it was the site of a large peace rally; Senator Padmé Amidala made an anti-war speech to the rally, where she included the sentence, "Warfare is the product of cowardice; it takes bravery to forego easy answers and find peaceful resolutions." The statement—and by association, Amidala, the University, and the peace movement—drew widespread criticism from Republic veterans and law-enforcement personnel.
