A research station in Sector R-4 was operated by the Sith cult known as the Unmasked during the Third Galactic War. The station was built after the reconstituted Sith Empire discovered a fragment of the Mass Shadow Generator that destroyed the planet Malachor V in the Sector R-4. The station was then used by the Unmasked to rebuild the superweapon. Eventually, the Mass Shadow Generator was destroyed when the Eternal Alliance attacked the research station and defeated the cult.
