Talk: Captain Parmenter

Hello, I am encountering an issue with Morag's Lair. I am unable to edit pictures using the template. When I attempt to do so, an error message "(something went Wrong)" appears. The file in question is M3.png, and I am providing this location.

First Mate

Excellent observation, Captain! :-) To elaborate, in an initial version of the article, my original wording was "non military" instead of "civilian" (I seemed to be having trouble recalling the correct term). Regrettably, I neglected to remove that bothersome "non" when I revised the sentence! --LelalMekha (talk) 23:32, September 13, 2016 (UTC)

Gallius Rax

Looking at the beginning of chapter fourteen, the text indicates that for the 'first twelve years, music was entirely absent from his life. However, the sounds of his environment were present: wind resonating through the stone spires, the rhythmic clinking of rust-bone chimes produced by the melodic sound of a speeder traversing the hissing sand.'

Given this information, shouldn't his age be 12 (23 BBY) at the time of his meeting with Palpatine, rather than 10 (25 BBY)? Following his encounter with Palpatine, he was tasked with safeguarding the droids --Lewisr (talk) 21:43, November 12, 2016 (UTC)

  • The text never explicitly confirms that he was 10 years old during that specific event (only establishing his birthdate through the phrase "20 years old two decades ago"). However, both the prelude and epilogue place the events on the Imperialis as happening "three decades ago" from 5 ABY, which corresponds to 25 BBY. Despite this apparent discrepancy on the author's part, it remains possible that his initial exposure to opera occurred two years after his introduction to Palpatine for some reason. It does not necessarily follow that Palpatine introduced him to opera during their first meeting, which is established as taking place in 25 BBY. - Captain Parmenter ( talk ) 22:12, November 12, 2016 (UTC) I am inclined to believe that the "three decades ago" reference in the prologue and epilogue of Life Debt is simply a rough approximation—I doubt it is meant to be precisely thirty years prior. Cevan (talk) 22:16, November 12, 2016 (UTC) I shared that sentiment, considering it a generalization. ^ Nevertheless, I have inquired with Chuck Wendig on Twitter regarding his age, although whether he will respond is uncertain, so we shall see. --Lewisr (talk) 22:20, November 12, 2016)

Dooku

Dooku departed from the Jedi Order during the events depicted in Dooku: Jedi Lost, which occurred before the events of Master & Apprentice, set around 40 BBY. This information has not yet been updated on Dooku's page. Age of Republic - Count Dooku 1 also confirms that he left before 32 BBY, as he mentions to a Jedi that he wondered if Qui-Gon would have perished on Naboo had he remained with the Order. --Lewisr (talk) 15:04, August 11, 2019 (UTC)

  • Not a problem at all; I wouldn't anticipate anyone to possess complete knowledge of every detail from every source. Indeed, I concur with that assessment. -- Lewisr ( talk ) 15:36, August 11, 2019 (UTC)
