[[Template:User rc patrol]]

Hi. I just wanted to remind you that new userbox templates must be approved before creation over at: Wookieepedia:Userbox proposal.–Sentry 05:02, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Whoops, my apologies. That being my first template on Wookieepedia, I didn't know there was a policy for it. In the process of complying. Thanks. Wildyoda 05:22, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Albhabetizing

Hey Wildyoda, about your recent edit on Tatooine Ghost. We have decided on Wookieepedia to alphabetize characters by their last name. It is true that some "Dramatis Personae" have them alphabetized by first name, but we only go by that when the book has a "Dramatis Personae" section. If you feel like bringing this issue up, go ahead and post it in the Senate Hall. For now though, I've reverted that edit. Thanks for your contributions to Wookieepedia! —Xwing328 14:17, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Gotcha. Looks a little gross, but whatever, so long as we're consistent. Wildyoda 14:29, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks

Thank you very much for the newbie page!--Wildfire 18:32, 30 December 2006 (UTC)

Just So You Know

Considering my "Sakul Ondondanax" page--It is nothing even close to an in-universe biography of myself. He is indeed mentioned in KOTOR whether you're light or dark side, so he is verifiable. I find it slightly annoying that I am blasted so quickly before anyone takes the time to check that the info is verifiable, i guess. However, I respect the decision. Just for the record, I wanted to let you know that it is verifiable and that it is in no way intended as an in-universe biography of me. Brad2 03:06, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

Clarification?

I see you've added a {{cleanup}} tag to the senior officer page I just created—nothing wrong with that, but can you tell me precisely what you think needs done? I intended the page to refer to the specific use of "senior officer" as a designation in the Imperial military, which I only know from the two sources referred to, not a general page for all high-ranking soldiers (for which see Admiral and General). So I'm not quite sure what else to add—except maybe a {{disambig}} tag? --McEwok 15:52, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Thanks for your reply here!
  • To explain the way my mind was working: Galaxy Guide 1: A New Hope refers to the stormtrooper in question as "Desert Sands senior officer DSS-0956" in the text and in the heading for his character template, and in the dramatis personae list for Allegiance, Vak Somoril is called "senior officer, Imperial Security Bureau", rather than by his rank of colonel, where other characters are given specific titles like "captain", "general", "director of planning" and "Supreme Commander".
  • I felt that was enough to warrant the page, but that said, I can see that perhaps it might benefit from a little more ambiguity. I'll edit it a bit and—if you don't mind—remove the {{cleanup}} tag? --McEwok 16:23, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Your new template

I responded on my talk page: ordinarily I'd leave it there, but I felt bad for not responding earlier, so I'll copy/paste the comment on your "inaccurate sources" template. This is what {{Verify}} is supposed to be for, actually: we may want another CT thread or something to clarify the issue for all editors. Certainly, if it's meant to do something different from {{Sources}}, the two of them should be obviously different. Plus, we could use a template for articles which are unquestionably canonical, but have added information from a source which may not exist/may have been misinterpreted or misquoted/etc. —Silly Dan (talk) 00:43, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

  • Hey Wildyoda, please see my vote at Forum:Source tempaltes revisions?. If you look at all of the templates I listed, we already have more than enough to say what you want for them. —Xwing328 00:54, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Sorry about removing the article improvement signs on Sexual Stereotyping. I am quite new to Wookiepedia and thought they were mistakes I kept putting in myself. Soory, I have stopped now.

Hi, my Friend...

Hello, my friend, sight I want to make SubPages because there is much space in my UserPage, and want to do them for better visualization of her… MTFBWUA. Starkiller1996 27 Febraury 2007, 17: 08 (UTC)

  • Just for the record, I have absolutely no idea what that meant and what the point of that was, but for future archival purposes, I'm sure it was related to [[User:Starkiller1996/Userboxes_Page|this]]. Wildyoda 01:01, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Concerning the date of the Battle of Hoth

The actual calendar date for the engagement is from the Star Wars Adventure Journal #7 (p. 285), which was actually published in August 1997; we've had this information at hand for nearly a decade. The date specifically applies to the date on the NewsNet report, but the Empire has full control of the HoloNet at this point, and would want news of a victory reported immediately; the defeats, they would wait on until they were whitewashed not to look so bad. It also fits in nicely with the revelation in the Empire novelization (p. 2, hardcover) that Luke had just celebrated his birthday by saying he was "barely" twenty-three (neither the author, Donald Glut, nor anyone else would have known in 1979-1980 that Luke, born in 19 BBY, would actually have turned twenty-two, but the rest fits). Luke's birthday would have fallen on 28:5:27, roughly two weeks before the story can be presumed to begin on roughly 28:6:07. In short, there is significant direct and circumstancial evidence to support this date, and since there is nothing to indicate that the battle took longer than one day, there need be no other date beside the first one. Apology

WildYoda,

I apologize, I was selfish, I asked for a "welcome" post, and you gave it to me. I apologise for that act, i already had a perfectly good teacher, and it was a spur-of-the-moment kinda thing. I hope you forgive me for my selfish act, and i will help you in any way that is possible, except if it is impossible.

I apologize, again, Wildfire 23:33, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

"The" with ships

You can check in the Consensus track archive for details, but Wookieepedia:Manual of Style#Class and ship names says that using "the" is ok. There's no need to change it in articles which use it. —Silly Dan 01:15, 4 April 2007 (UTC)

Title template

Hi there. Just wanted to let you know that whenever you put a line break after the title template, that break shows up in the article (like this, vs. this). So you might want to avoid the extra line break. -- Ozzel 04:04, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Is that a Fender Precision Bass?

...is it? KEJ 22:22, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

  • It's a no-name brand knock-off actually, but yeah, it's pretty much equivalent to one, just the body is a little heavier. Got it to learn on when I started playing after our bassist at church went away to college. I'm more of a guitarist most of the time. I like sticking to my Seagull. Are you a bassist? Your page/Userboxes

Hey, i was looking through user pages, and noticed you had the best one i've ever seen. (not that i've seen many....) I was looking for a good one, because i wanted to ask how you do it. lol, i mean the good part. I'm relatively new...I mean i've used wookieepedia for about half-a-year, but became a user recently, and now i want to make my page. But that's kinda the problem. Seeing as your was good....lol. see i got the basics down. But i'm wandering just how people get userboxes over to the side, and pictures. Like how do you code a page right so that both those things are where you want them to be?? which is off to the side. Also, I noticed you had a bunch of personal userboxes that are awesome that aren't on file here (like i couldn't find them with the rest, so i presume you custom made them...). I was wandering if it's possible for you to send me a few of those, like the Christian one, the astrology is crap one, lol, and the ones that show how many times you've seen each episode. I really like those....that is provided i know how to properly put those and all the others in a strait collumn down the side of the page... so you think it would be possible to help me out here? P.S. Really sorry, for some reason on this page, i can't type more than on line per thing, or it goes off the page.....that's never happened before, so i have no clue what's going on....... sorry about the mess... Zinthematrix 05:35, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

  • and now i'm noticing some parts are in dotted boxes (never done that before) and some isn't (like everything else)...you know what's going on? Zinthematrix 05:37, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

Your help and my user page

Hey man I just wanted to say how thankful I am of your help. Also, I invite you to check out my userpage. Couldn't have done it without you. Of course it's no where near done as the gatekeeper will explain, but i hope you like it... Thanks! Zinthematrix 20:51, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

Some of your userboxes

Hey, I was wandering, is it possible to get your hands on a code for the "this user has seen episode......., a total of ........ times" that will make it all black with white letters and numbers instead of like blue, green, and red? Zinthematrix 00:27, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Here you go

<div class="userbox" style="float:left;border:solid #000000 1px;margin:1px"> {| cellspacing="0" style="width:238px;background:black" | style="width:45px;height:45px;background:black;text-align:center;font-size:14pt;color:#ffffff;" | '''20''' | style="font-size:8pt;color:#ffffff;padding:4pt;line-height:1.25em" | This user has seen Episode I 20 times'''. |}</div><noinclude> {{clear}}

Will display...

  • I suggest you save this\code (and any text changes you want to make to it) as a subpage (i.e. User:Zinthematrix/nameofuserbox) and then put it into your page with the code {{tl|User:Zinthematrix/nameofuserbox}}, obviously replacing "nameofuserbox" with whatever you want to call it.

Just wanted to say that some of your userboxes are awesome and I copied them on my own userpage. ToRsO bOy 18:29, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

Twi'light Storm articles

Twi'light Storm articles have been recently confirmed as canon. I, among others, have been lucky enough to get our hands on the sources. Just thought I'd let you know so you wouldn't keep trying to get the articles deleted. Thanks, Greyman 03:51, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

  • Oops, disregard the above msg from me :) There was a mix up with the dates in the article's histories, my mistake...move along, move along ;) Greyman 03:54, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

Cestus Deception and Forscan

Hey there. I do have the book but I haven't started on it yet. The edits I've made before were inclusions of orphaned pages, but I did make a quick scan of it and I'm unable to find any mention of Forscan IV. I then checked CUSWE and they only have an article for Forscan VI. --ToRsO bOy 04:04, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Book of Imperial Shuttle Plans

[1] As you can see in the above linke, the Cygnus System is mentioned in the Book. However, there is a reason these systems redirect to the book, rather than have separate articles. The Book of Imperial Shuttle Plans is NOT canon. It is fanon, albeit high-quality and well-known fanon. I believe it was released at a Star Trek convention or something. Many people have confused it for canon. It is what would be called "ambiguous" here at Wookieepedia. Any articles referencing it would need the Template:Ambig label at top, or if a canon article containing SOME info from it, need a "this section contains ambig info" tag (I don't know what that one actually looks like. It is POSSIBLE some of these systems might become canon, since we know Jason is including several ambig planets in the Atlas, but we will have to wait and see if he includes these.JustinGann 01:28, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

ok

sorry I misunderstood, but you did not mention the Farlander Papers. The Farlander Papers/X-wing games were listed as a source only bc of their info about the Cygnus Spacewporks; to the best of my knowledge, they don't directly mention a Cygnus systemJustinGann 03:21, 24 February 2009 (UTC)
