Since the planet had no atmosphere, all of the inhabitants lived in a large habitation dome owned by a rival of Offworld Mining Corporation. When the dome was compromised by Jemba the Hutt, over 250,000 people were killed. The company mining the planet went bankrupt, and the mining rights were cheaply obtained by Offworld.
