Although able to corner the interdictor with the assistance of one of the late Admiral Harkov's Nebulon-B frigates, Akaga, its starfighters were prevented from launching direct attacks against the interdictor.
Upon the arrival of Vader on the Imperial I-class Star Destroyer Garrett, the Warhawk was destroyed by in a torpedo attack by loyalist Imperial starfighters spearheaded by Maarek Stele before it could close within cannon range of the interdictor. Its Imperial allies about the Protector were annihilated by loyalist forces soon after.
