Water filter

A water filter was a device used to filter water. Around the year 3643 BBY, a group of slaves revolted against the Sith Empire on the Empire's capital world Dromund Kaas. They took over the area around an incomplete statue or Darth Vowrawn, making use of several water filters in the area.

However, Lord Drowl of the Empire sent an individual to poison the filters with Quell Toxin so that many of the rebelling slaves would die a slow painful death, which Drowl hoped would demoralize the rest and cause them to surrender.
