Mase, Wolf Squadron's commanding officer
The unit was led by Captain Mase and conducted raids on Imperial shipping along the Corellian Trade Spine, retreating with their spoils to a secret base in an asteroid field. In 3 ABY, they hijacked a cargo ship carrying a piece of the Death Star II's weapons systems and brought it to Annamar, their base of operations.
This action would turn out to be the unit's undoing, as Emperor Palpatine tasked Darth Vader with retrieving the device. He utterly decimated Wolf Squadron, killing all its pilots.
The unit consisted of at least nine T-65 X-wing starfighters, four BTL Y-wing starfighters, one EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate and automated cannons hidden on various asteroids.
