The Clone Wars is a WookieeProject formed of a group of Wookieepedians seeking to upgrade and maintain all articles related to the 2008–2020 Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series, including articles related to the feature film, Legacy, the webcomics, monthly comic series, The Clone Wars – Battle Tales, the novel series, and the graphic novellas. This also includes video and platform games, such as the mobile game, Jedi Alliance, Lightsaber Duels, Republic Heroes, and Clone Wars Adventures.
In 2023, it was decided to incorporate the 2021 sequel series to The Clone Wars, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, and the 2022 Tales season Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi into this project. This decision was made because of the shared animation style and how these shows incorporate many topics also featured in The Clone Wars. Therefore, keeping these topics under one banner will prevent Wookieepedians from dividing their focus across multiple projects. Further Tales content, such as the 2024 Tales season Star Wars: Tales of the Empire, also fall under this project banner.
Please note that while the target audience of animated Star Wars content can be a somewhat younger audience, this is by no means a hindrance to our goal. We still expect the same amount of quality that would be expected of any other Star Wars articles, which includes acceptable spelling and grammar.

Since the establishment of the Wookieepedia Discord server, community discussions for Project TCW have been held within a channel named "the-clone-wars". All articles originating from The Clone Wars series have a goal to eventually obtain Featured, Good, or Comprehensive status. Articles that cannot reach the required length can be put up for nomination for Comprehensive status. Even the most minor characters and articles have the potential to be upgraded to higher article status.
Many characters appear in The Clone Wars series and related material—some old, some new. Please note that while the project aims to cover many subjects appearing in the series, we cannot cover every single person, place, or thing that appears. Furthermore, it is improper to try to use this project to focus on subjects that extensively appear elsewhere. For all articles that appear in The Clone Wars series, their related and corresponding sections should be maintained.
In choosing articles to add as projects, the following questions should be asked about the article. For an article to be added as a planned/future project, the answers to at least one of these questions must be "yes."

What we have achieved so far. These articles should be maintained, to keep them at a high quality. So far we have taken one hundred seven articles to Featured status, one hundred seventy-eight articles to Good status, and fourty-seven articles to Comprehensive status.
