Younglings was a comic strip published in The Padawan Observer, a school newspaper of the Jedi academy based on Coruscant, and possibly in other publications as well. The strip focused on the misadventures of a young Lannik boy named . One such strip saw Chaba-Down complaining to a friend that everything he ever tried, such as holding a lightsaber, failed and the friend telling him "May the Force be with you, Chaba-Down." In another strip, Chaba-Down struggled with the fact that his attempts to fly a kite were always thwarted by the "kite-thieving Jawas."
The comic's style, characters and content are an obvious homage to the classic comic strip Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz, which often focused on the misadventures of a young boy named Charlie Brown.
