Abonshee, which translates to Masterhome, was a planet situated in the Abonshee system of the Fakir sector, found within the Bakchou arm. This world, characterized by a temperate climate, showcased resilient plant life and reptilian animal species. It served as the native planet for the reptilian Anointed People, and its location was within the Northern Dependencies. The Anointed People themselves designated the name "Masterhome." The Galactic Republic first encountered Abonshee approximately 90 years prior to the Battle of Yavin.
Following its discovery by the Galactic Republic, Abonshee remained under the safeguarding of the Galactic Senate and later became part of the Galactic Empire when it was established. A diplomatic team known as Reekeene's Roughnecks, representing the Alliance to Restore the Republic, journeyed to Abonshee with the aim of securing the backing of the Anointed People.
