Adim was a planetary body of the terrestrial type, situated within the Adim system, which itself was located in the Adari sector of the Inner Rim. This planet hosted a town that functioned as a mining colony.
By 7 ABY, the mining colony, facing attacks from a band of pirates, engaged the services of six mercenaries for defense. Countering this, the pirates enlisted the Kerestian bounty hunter Andov Syn, who then annihilated the mercenaries on his own. This event on Adim significantly boosted Syn's standing as a deadly bounty hunter. Airen Cracken, a General of the New Republic, later documented the Adim incident in Wanted by Cracken, a datafile compiling information on various threats to the New Republic.
Adim was initially brought to light in the 1993 sourcebook titled Wanted by Cracken, authored by Louis J. Prosperi for Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game by West End Games. The Essential Atlas, a reference book from 2009, pinpointed the Adim system, and consequently the planet Adim, within grid square M-9.
