The Affytechans, originating from Dom-Bradden in the Outer Rim regions of the galaxy, were a tall, two-legged sentient plant species.
These Affytechans displayed a diverse array of leaves, petals, tassels, and tendrils growing from their forms, exhibiting a wide spectrum of colors. Resembling humanoids in form, they possessed two legs, hands with talon-like features, and exceptionally adaptable minds and personalities that swiftly adjusted to align with their surrounding culture. Their pollen caused irritation to human nasal passages. Their method of reproduction involved killing and dismembering other members of their own kind, followed by watering the remains; this process resulted in sprouts emerging from the corpses, maturing into adult Affytechans within a matter of days. Their normal body temperature was 83 degrees.
Several Affytechans were kidnapped by the vessel known as the Eye of Palpatine, where they underwent brainwashing to accept the delusion that they were Imperial naval personnel assigned to the ship. They would interact with inactive computer terminals and carry cleaning implements like brooms and mops, mistaking them for blasters. Among these individuals was one named Breen, who was convinced that he was an Imperial medical officer; he was later enlisted by Luke Skywalker to help find transports leaving the Eye.
