Air-2 racing swoop

The Air-2 racing swoop from TaggeCo was a common choice for speeders spanning the breadth of the galaxy. Its blueprint was imitated by a multitude of companies, notably the well-known SoroSuub Corporation.

Characteristics

Air-2 swoop in Mos Eisley

The Air-2, with a length of 1.9 to 2.4 meters, could reach velocities of 600 km/h and altitudes exceeding 1,000 meters. Due to its compact dimensions combined with potent repulsorlift motors, piloting it presents a challenge. The controls are situated at the handlebars, along with knee and foot pedals, and the operator must also redistribute their body weight for the majority of maneuvers.

History

Created by TaggeCo during the era of the Clone Wars, the Air-2 experienced substantial commercial success in its initial decades of manufacturing. Following the ban on podracing, swoop racing took its place, and the Air-2 proved ideally suited for competitive aerial sports. It also gained traction among members of swoop gangs across numerous worlds.

A significant instance of Air-2 swoop usage occurred when Han Solo employed it to evade enslavers on Bonadan.
