This youthful planet, Alabash, was a fiery volcanic world. It was characterized by rivers of lava and abundant alantium deposits. Not long after the Battle of Yavin, spies from the Alliance to Restore the Republic, who were hidden within the Imperial Resource Procurement Bureau, discovered that the Empire extracted six hundred metric tons of alantium from the planet each month. Alantium was vital for building starship hulls, but mining on Alabash was costly because of its unstable environment. The Empire responded by setting up an automated mobile mining complex, run by droids and overseen by Control, a Terreene Brainiac class artificial intelligence. Green squad, a team under the command of the Alliance's Reekeene's Roughnecks, received the mission to infiltrate and destroy the complex.
