Alain Gryphon, a female Human, served as the Captain who was in command of the Celestial, a transport belonging to the Alliance to Restore the Republic, throughout the Galactic Civil War. While en route to an Alliance safe world, the prisoners she was transporting seized control of the ship. A subsequent mishap propelled the Celestial into otherspace, where it was then boarded by the [Desolate] (/article/desolate), a vessel of the Charon's. Gryphon sustained severe injuries from the [poison](/article/poison/legends]-laced claws of the Charon and died not long after encountering an Alliance squad that had also been pulled into otherspace.
