Alexandra Bracken

Alexandra "Alex" Bracken penned A New Hope: The Princess, the Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy, which reimagines the iconic film Star Wars_: Episode IV A New Hope. She took over the writing duties from R.J. Palacio, who had to withdraw from the project because of timetable issues. Bracken also wrote Brightly Woven, her first novel, and the Darkest Minds series, which was released by Disney Publishing.

Bracken's dad collected Star Wars memorabilia, and when she was a kid, she went to a lot of Star Wars gatherings with him.
