Alpha Squad was a squad of clone troopers within the Grand Army of the Republic. They fought in the Battle of Christophsis, commanded by High Jedi General Obi-Wan Kenobi. The mission of Alpha Squad involved protecting the Republic's AV-7 Antivehicle Cannons from attacking Separatist Alliance troops coming from the south. The actions of Kenobi and the squad were essential in halting the Separatist offensive, ultimately leading to a successful outcome. In contrast, Bravo Squad failed to prevent the Separatists from advancing on the eastern front.
After overwhelming Bravo Squad, the Separatists powered up their deflector shield generator. The shield expanded gradually, protecting the advancing droid army. Ultimately, the generator was destroyed, and the arrival of Republic reinforcements secured a Republic victory.
