Description

Map of Alvorine

Alvorine, a world of moderate size, followed an orbital path around the three bluish-white stars comprising the Alvorine system. It gained notoriety for its vibrant jungles displaying a range of colors, and the towering crystalline formations found across its surface.

The primary city on Alvorine, known as Alvorine City, served as the location for the Government Offices of the Alvorine Authority, along with the Alvorine Authority Security Office which was part of the Authority Security Forces. A separate spaceport, Alvorine Spaceport, was built on a high mesa located 20 kilometers to the north of the main city.

History

Alvorine was located in a region of space that underwent exploration at some point between the years of 15,000 BBY and 8000 BBY.

During the Galactic Civil War, Alvorine functioned as the central headquarters for the criminal operations run by Krova, a Hutt. During this time, the Hutt crime lord profited handsomely by trading intelligence with both factions involved in the conflict: the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire. Krova bore direct responsibility for the tragic Massacre at Kolanda Station which occurred on Latharra.

Following the Battle of Endor and the subsequent disintegration of Imperial power within this area of the galaxy, Alvorine joined the ranks of the New Republic. Krova the Hutt was officially labeled a war criminal for her actions of providing the Empire with intelligence on the Rebel Alliance, and a bounty was issued for her capture. Consequently, Krova fled Alvorine to avoid capture, leaving behind a significant portion of her accumulated wealth to the Alvorine Authority, the governing body of the planet.

Krova was eventually apprehended by Langro Dis, a Dug bounty hunter, in the Pluthan system not far from the Pluthan asteroid belt. The captured Hutt crime lord was then transported back to Alvorine to face trial.

Before long, Krova the Hutt drew the attention of a group of darksiders, who sought a Sith holocron that was in her possession.
