After being banished from their previous residence and compelled to seek refuge to escape oppression, the witches belonging to Mother Aniseya's coven journeyed to the enigmatic planet Brendok. There, they seized an age-old fortress that had formerly been utilized for mining activities. Establishing their sanctuary within the Brendok fortress and coexisting harmoniously, distant from the Core Worlds, the coven ultimately endeavored to execute the Rite of Ascension in 148 BBY for the initial instance following their banishment, only to have a group of Jedi expose their presence.
