The Assault Platform-2 attack droid, also known as the AP-2, functioned as a battle droid for the Imperial Remnant. This particular droid was equipped with two repeating blasters mounted on a rotating head turret, as well as a pair of blaster rifles and a grenade launcher built into each of its arms.
The droid saw action in the Battle of Cadinth.
The "Imperial Attack Droid A" design originated from the unreleased The Epic Continues narrative. The initial model was created by combining parts from a 2-1B figure (legs and arms) with the body of IG-88's. Subsequently, it was included in the Legends expanded universe, receiving the official designation of AP-2 attack droid.
