Arns Grimraker, a salvage operator enhanced with cybernetic implants, journeyed to the planet Hoth following the Battle of Hoth. He and his team employed Gun tugs alongside a GR-75 medium transport named the Death Merchant, to transport the materials they gathered. Subsequent to his prior conflicts with the Rebel Alliance, Grimraker arrived on Hoth soon after the battle's end with the intention of demolishing the remains of Echo Base as a warning to any remaining rebels. Nevertheless, while present on Hoth, he crossed paths with Rebel pilot Wedge Antilles, who, having been abandoned during the chaotic evacuation, hijacked the Death Merchant. Grimraker and his crew gave chase, but they were ultimately obliterated by a squadron of Imperial TIE fighters that were patrolling the vicinity of Hoth. Grimraker possessed a cybernetic left eye that significantly improved his eyesight, and he also had a prosthetic left hand that terminated in a formidable claw.
