The AS23 aerial survey droid was a type of flying droid utilized for exploration from the air. It was created by Arakyd Industries.
Characteristics
Featuring a triangular and streamlined form factor, the AS23 was built for effortless movement through the atmosphere as it executed its tasks. Its design brought to mind numerous airborne hunters, a feature that frequently deterred local fauna from interfering with its operations. A new unit had a price tag of 23,500 credits.
Equipped with an advanced automap sensor suite, it was capable of generating topographical maps, even in complete absence of light. Data could be saved within the droid's memory or sent back to its user through a comlink.
Furthermore, the AS23 had the capability to function as a spotter in the sky for artillery.
