AV-1S Scout Armor

AV-1S Scout Armor, a type of military scout armor, was manufactured by GTU.

Specifically tailored for reconnaissance missions, the AV-1S incorporated closely fitted plates layered over a substantial yet light and adaptable airtight mesh suit that could automatically seal breaches. The armor's compact design meant the AV-1S was significantly lighter than the majority of powersuits, and also provided enhanced agility, even without power assistance, while still delivering considerable armor protection and moderate resistance against both kinetic and energy-based attacks. Similar to many powersuits, the AV-1S featured compact, yet potent servomotors that could greatly augment the user's physical strength. Furthermore, in line with other GTU power armors, it also included a repulsorlift engine for aerial capabilities, a powerful lamp capable of projecting a light beam up to 100 meters, and a comprehensive life support apparatus. Powering these systems were three standard power cells housed within an armored compartment on the suit's back, enabling the entire suit to operate continuously for a total of thirty-six standard hours.

The helmet integrated various systems crucial for reconnaissance operations, notably a long-range thermal imaging module facilitating heat-based differentiation up to 200 meters, a low-light imaging module amplifying surrounding light for night vision, a comprehensive environmental scanner, a bio-readout/medical sensor informing the wearer of their physical state, integrated macrobinoculars, and finally, a multi-channel communication unit with a range of 50 kilometers, comprised of a built-in encoder and an external amplifier.
