Ayo Morota, a female figure, was the leader of the Red Hand group operating on Coruscant throughout the Clone Wars era. This organization, along with Ayo, reported directly to Darth Sidious, and they carried out political assassinations during the Clone Wars period. In 19 BBY, the Jedi Council uncovered the existence of the Red Hand, prompting them to task Jedi Master Quinlan Vos with infiltrating the group to determine who was issuing the orders for the political killings.
For a period, Quinlan successfully deceived Ayo and the Red Hand, leading them to believe he was a Jedi Order outcast seeking to join their ranks. However, Ayo eventually discovered Quinlan's true purpose. Subsequently, the Jedi was apprehended and subjected to a "trial" by the Red Hand, with Ayo presiding as the judge. The jury declared Vos guilty of deception and sentenced him to death. During the execution that immediately followed, Quinlan managed to escape because the Red Hand had neglected to confiscate his lightsaber.
Following this, Ayo commanded the Red Hand to conduct a comprehensive search of the sewers for Vos. As the search progressed, Vos eliminated all members of the Red Hand, except for Ayo. Ayo then attempted to flee, but she mistakenly turned into a dead end in the sewers and ended up at a large waterfall. Quinlan caught up to her and demanded to know who she was working for. Instead of providing an answer, she chose to commit suicide by leaping off the waterfall. Mas Amedda later informed Palpatine that the Red Hand organization had been completely destroyed. Palpatine remarked that Ayo and the Red Hand had outlived their usefulness.
