AccuTronics made a significant foray into the fifth-degree labor droid sector with their B1 worker droid. While the CLL-8 binary load lifters were frequently found in freight operations due to their considerable size, the B-1 worker droid acted as a scaled-down version of these massive machines.
Its programming mirrored that of its larger counterparts, resulting in a simple, literal way of thinking, which was, nevertheless, suitable for the monotony of demanding physical labor, which needed little more than raw strength. B1's would obey orders from anyone. Its cargo claws incorporated suction pads to improve grip, and its reverse-jointed legs were supplemented by a third, retractable leg that provided extra stability when lifting large loads.

In the time leading up to the Clone Wars, AccuTronics put together a nuna-ball team consisting of B1s. This team was ultimately defeated by a Serv-O-Droid team composed of RIC-series droids, which proved to be faster and more agile when compared to the strong, but cumbersome cargo droids.
These droids saw service at Radell Mining Corporation headquarters. The heavily armed Imperial defense droids utilized aboard the original Death Star shared the same design.
