The Balduran Civil War took place a number of years before the start of the Clone Wars. It was a battle between the Janissariad and a different prominent group.
Atour Riten, in his youth, participated in the Balduran Civil War as a member of the Janissariad. This event instilled in him a deep aversion to all kinds of central governing bodies. Repulsed by political affairs, Riten chose the path of a librarian and archivist.
The Baldur system, a star system situated within the Nojic sector of the Expansion Region, lent its name to the Balduran Civil War.
