Bammy Decree was a resident of Nar Shaddaa who, for a fee paid in advance, offered a way to leave the moon circumventing standard customs procedures. The con artist named Loonoo, having acquired Maz Kanata's renowned Smuggler's Guide, a pirate, planned to generate sufficient money from its sale to afford Decree's services. Nonetheless, prior to Loonoo executing his scheme, which he had written about in the book itself, he was robbed near Bammy's Spacebarn by the criminal Skrrll, who absconded with the Smuggler's Guide. He was unable to pay Decree as a result.
The initial mention of Bammy Decree occurred in Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, a canon reference book published in 2018 and authored by Daniel Wallace. Within the Star Wars Legends timeline, Decree's debut took place in the 2008 novel Millennium Falcon, penned by James Luceno.
