Batch 82-4 comprised a group of clone troopers, each afflicted with a fear of spiders, known as arachnophobia. This phobia presented challenges when these troopers encountered OG-9 homing spider droids in combat. The clones belonging to this batch were commonly referred to as "82-4's." Although Clone troopers were considered to be "brothers," the 82-4's were generally disliked by commanders within the Grand Army of the Republic. Even those holding high ranks within batch 82-4 experienced this fear. Captain Rex frequently interacted with these troopers and found the experience unpleasant.

Commander:I can't explain it. Every clone produced from batch 82-4 developed a fear of spiders. It is quite strange.
One particularly problematic 82-4 was a commander aboard the same gunship as Captain Rex when it sustained damage from enemy droids. Upon facing the spider droids, this commander sought refuge behind debris while his fellow clones engaged the enemy. He remained hidden until Rex located him, reminding him that the droid was not an actual spider. Following this reminder, the commander successfully destroyed the droid single-handedly.
