Battle armor

An example of battle armor Battle armor represented a type of very robust armor that saw extensive deployment around the time of the Jedi Civil War. Created specifically for utilization by well-equipped militias, it offered the defensive capabilities necessary for soldiers to survive ranged engagements involving large-scale weaponry.

The construction of battle armor involved combining interwoven metal or composite plates with an underlying padded jumpsuit. Variations of this armor existed, ranging from versions with fewer plates and increased padding for enhanced mobility at the cost of protection, to versions with thicker plating and custom-fitted segments for the wearer's comfort. While the armor could be used in its base form, it was common for users to customize it to their preferences.

In other periods, battle armor also saw action. During the Galactic Civil War, the term "battle armor" described a category of armor types. Stormtrooper armor is a specific example of battle armor, as is a significant portion of the protective gear employed by bounty hunters.
