A clash occurred on the world of Kestos Minor, a planet, during the Kwymar Suppressions conflict, specifically in the year 17 BBY. The Galactic Empire achieved victory over the Rebel forces stationed on Doniphon.
In the early years of the Imperial Period, the Imperial military launched a series of attacks against Rebel strongholds situated within the Kwymar sector, an operation referred to as the Kwymar Suppressions. Among the planets targeted was Kestos Minor.
During the assault on the planet, stormtrooper Modigal Glave suffered injuries to his face. His helmet was destroyed by a blaster shot, which caused pieces of durasteel to embed themselves in his face. Even though he was in pain, Glave managed to defend against a platoon of Rebel soldiers on his own until armored AT-ATs provided assistance. Ultimately, the Rebel forces present on the planet were defeated.
Glave's reward for his bravery was a promotion to the leadership of an elite squad that would eventually evolve into the storm commandos. Furthermore, he was honored with the Imperial Medal of Valor.
