Battle of Yag'Dhul (Jedi Civil War)

The Battle of Yag'Dhul represents one of the initial engagements during the Jedi Civil War. This war pitted the Galactic Republic against the Sith Empire led by Darth Revan. After the devastating sacking of Foerost, the Sith Empire's expansion resulted in the emergence of new combat zones throughout the galaxy. The Sith forces advanced toward Roche, Axxila, and Battle of Allanteen; subsequently, the Empire successfully seized control of Yag'Dhul. While the Sith Empire was at its peak, the planet remained under their control, forming a secluded region within Sith-dominated space.

Behind the scenes

The Essential Atlas features the sole depiction of the Battle of Yag'Dhul. A specific date for this battle is not given. However, the Knights of the Old Republic Campaign Guide places both the Battle of Foerost and the Bombing of Telos IV in 3958 BBY. The Atlas indicates that Yag'Dhul occurred after Foerost and other attacks, but before Telos.
