Ben Quadinaros, a male Toong hailing from the planet Tund, made his living as a Podracer pilot during the waning years of the Galactic Republic.

Despite perceptions, labeling Quadinaros a complete coward was an oversimplification. Like many of his Toong brethren, he became uneasy when interacting with others socially. This shyness led to an inaccurate reputation for cowardice. While not entirely without courage, he lacked the necessary prowess to truly contend in the Boonta Eve Classic. His previous racing experience was limited to the Pouffra Circuit, which was known for its safety and, consequently, derided by experienced Podracers as one of the least challenging circuits in the galaxy.
Quadinaros's participation in the Boonta Eve Classic was spurred by a drunken wager. Boles Roor, during his glimmik performance the evening before the race, bet five million peggats that Quadinaros lacked the nerve to compete. Accepting the bet, the Toong rented a BT310 and found himself on the starting line. He was understandably fearful of the dangers posed by the Boonta's harsh environment. However, he avoided any serious harm when his Podracer malfunctioned at the start. The power couplings failed, causing the engines to detach and fly off in different directions, lifting Ben only a few meters. It was later discovered that Ark "Bumpy" Roose had sabotaged Quadinaros's racer, rather than the failure being a design flaw as initially suspected. While Ben's piloting abilities remained untested, the BT310's potential was undeniable, as it was one of the most powerful single-repulsor vehicles ever created. This machine, designed for speed and innovation, was a peculiar choice for a rookie pilot.
His dignity bruised, but five million peggats richer from his bet with Roor, Quadinaros willingly withdrew from the high-stakes races, invested in a new Podracer, and returned to the Pouffra Circuit.
He achieved championship status on both the Ceyan Range Raceway located on Hoth and the Inferno circuit on Baroonda, the latter being more treacherous than the Pouffra.
Even while providing for his family, he continued his racing career during the Clone Wars. During a leave on Mon Gazza, he managed to qualify for and win the finals, earning him widespread acclaim.

Dominic Armato provided the voice for Quadinaros in his video game appearances.
The comic book adaptation of the film presents a different ending for Quadinaros. In this version, his Podracer starts successfully, only to be destroyed in an explosion after being struck by Sebulba's vehicle.
In Star Wars Galaxies, players could compete on various swoop tracks, aiming to set the daily record and earn a badge. If a track hadn't been completed by a player on a given day, the race coordinator would announce that Ben Quadinaros currently held the record.
