Bendu Fry, a heavyset Devaronian male, was a criminal sought by the Black Sun crime organization, with instructions to be captured, living or deceased. Boba Fett, operating as a bounty hunter, located Fry inside a cantina alongside a pair of female Twi'leks and demanded his surrender. Fry attempted to flee; however, Fett effortlessly apprehended him using a cable launched from his gauntlet. The Devaronian then informed Fett of the presence of a Jedi on the same world. Fett, acting on Fry's information and sparing his life, subsequently located the individual, only to discover he was the offspring of a Jedi Knight who died in the First Battle of Geonosis. Fett then came back and eliminated Fry.
