After the assassination of Senator Galen Derlin, both Beryann Raleg and Bren Derlin enlisted in the Rebel Alliance. Before the Battle of Hoth, Raleg was present at a pilot briefing given by Princess Leia, and subsequently participated in the battle as Blue Eight, flying his fighter.
Star Wars Insider 146 initially revealed Raleg's identity in "Rogues Gallery: Clearance for Immediate Launch".
