Bet'nih, a Chiss woman with sensitivity to the Force, held the position of ozyly-esehembo inside the structure of the Chiss Ascendancy. In the course of the Nikardun campaigns, she fulfilled the role of navigator aboard the Chiss heavy cruiser known as the Grayshrike, which was under the leadership of Senior Captain Irizi'in'daro.
When she was serving on the Grayshrike, Bet'nih had Soomret assigned to her as a caregiver. During one of their journeys, Lakinda attempted to influence Bet'nih to increase her navigational speed by offering her a dark cheese that was a favorite among the Chiss; despite consuming the cheese, Bet'nih's navigation speed remained unchanged.
