Characterized by its glacial origins, the Bhir'khi Pass presented as a lengthy and expansive valley, sparsely vegetated, adorned with scattered massive rocks, and featuring a modest lake centrally located. Millennia prior, a retreating glacier left behind numerous substantial rocks within this elevated valley. These rocks rise several meters high and possess a mass exceeding one hundred tons individually. Over the course of centuries, weathering has smoothed the rocks' bases and created extensive fissures. However, as the name indicates, the Bhir'khi Pass held greater significance as virtually the sole route leading to Marter An, the primary urban center and singular orbital station on the planet. Consequently, the valley held a pivotal strategic position for maintaining authority over Sheris.
During the period of the Thrawn campaign, the forces of the New Republic and the Empire engaged in combat within the Bhir'khi Pass to secure command of the passage to the capital.
