An Imperial bio-hound For the Galactic Empire, Biogears Unlimited manufactured a tracking device known as the bio-hound. Functioning as a fusion of computer technology and living matter, the bio-hound's purpose was to locate and mark specific individuals. The process began with exposing the bio-hound to the target's genetic signature, typically through biological samples like skin cells or hair. Subsequently, the bio-hound was released onto the target's planet to initiate the search. Upon locating its target, the bio-hound had two options: it could either mark the target using a liquid tracer composed of Heldrium and Bastelt chemical compounds, or it could employ acidic poisons to kill the target. This made it a highly effective and insidious tool for assassination. Once the bio-hound had found its target, it would transmit a continuous signal, reaching up to 50,000 kilometers, to a receiver that alerted an agent to the target's whereabouts. The receiver could also be programmed to detect the chemical compound within a one-kilometer radius, in the event the bio-hound lost track of its target.
Its inherent semi-intelligence allowed the bio-hound to adapt and refine its tracking methods, even to the point of concealing itself on vehicles. Its malleable organic structure enabled it to alter its shape to suit its surroundings, which it perceived through Stimuli Receptors. The bio-hound's exterior was covered in a gray mottled Flexi-Skin.
