Bipod

A two-legged support, known as a bipod, was affixed to the barrel of a rifle or substantial armament. Its purpose was to stabilize the weapon, thereby aiding in precision targeting and discharge. Typically, it found application when the user was in a prone position or positioned near cover that reached waist or chest level. Furthermore, a bipod served as a platform for mounting formidable weaponry, for example, heavy repeating blasters.
