Birdseed

Bird food, sometimes referred to as birdseed, is a type of nourishment—frequently consisting of different kinds of seeds, as the name suggests—that is consumed by birds. Typically, bird food is either prepared or purchased by humans for the purpose of providing sustenance to domesticated birds or for use in devices that dispense food to birds. Birdseed can be either naturally occurring or commercially produced. The selection of the appropriate birdseed is determined by the particular species of bird that is being provided for.
