Blayne

Blayne, referred to as Doctor Blayne, was a Human scientist of male gender who maintained operations from an asteroid base during the Clone Wars period. Around 21 BBY, Blayne successfully engineered a unique liquid metal capable of encasing sentient lifeforms, converting them into what he called living droids. With the ambition of profiting from this invention, Blayne reached out to the criminal figure Shorran Dak, aiming to negotiate a transaction for the metal's application as a weapon. However, Shorran Dak was captured by the Jedi Order while traveling to Blayne's base, leading to Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker, both Jedi, arriving at the asteroid in his place, masquerading as Dak and his bodyguard. Suspecting a connection between the pair and the Galactic Republic authorities, Blayne, after receiving the Jedi into his facility, commanded some of his living droids to attack Skywalker, showcasing their potential as a weapon. Kenobi and Skywalker then revealed their true identities as Jedi, causing Blayne to deactivate a portion of the droids, allowing the liquid metal to detach and engulf Skywalker, thereby granting Blayne control over the Jedi's actions. Blayne briefly manipulated Skywalker into fighting Kenobi, but the two Jedi quickly overcame the metal's influence, and Kenobi subsequently coated Blayne with the substance, transforming him into a bio-droid who then served the Jedi.
