Bloodfin (creature)

The Bloodfin species consisted of crimson-colored, partly aquatic predatory creatures that originated from the seas of Bastion. These beasts possessed a vibrant red ridge on their head and moved on four legs, each ending in sharp, dagger-like hooves. They could be trained to be powerful mounts, even capable of continuing to fight after their rider had perished. However, Bloodfins were notorious for their lack of obedience away from combat and had a tendency to consume anything within reach during moments of frenzy, riders included. It was thought that they were a variation of the Ghannoidal certecyes. The speeder used by Darth Maul was given its name in honor of these animals.
