During 3 BBY, the Bloodskull pirates launched an assault on the Dooku airship, the Windrunner, aiming to abduct Bron Dooku. Subsequently, the pirates utilized cables to board the Windrunner, initiating combat with the airship's security personnel as Vex stealthily infiltrated the vessel to seize Bron. Jahan Cross, an Imperial operative, chased Vex to the Bloodskull and seized control of one of the turbolasers affixed to the deck. Subsequently, he employed the weapon to create a breach in the hull, inflicting severe damage on the ship.
